Four-time Golden Guitar nominee and Aotearoa Music Award winner Jenny Mitchell joins forces with Newcastle’s free-range bluegrass band Midnight Chicken for a special run of Australian shows in 2027!

Fresh from supporting the iconic Kasey Chambers on a 32-date Australian tour and opening for global superstars The Lumineers, Jenny brings her nostalgic and powerful songwriting to the stage, alongside Midnight Chicken’s intricate arrangements and warm harmonies.

Midnight Chicken, hatched and hand-raised in Newcastle, have been turning heads across Australia with their wild and wonderful take on bluegrass. Following their sold-out New Zealand tour with Jenny in 2026, the band is bringing their playful blend of country, folk and bluegrass back to Australian audiences. Blending tradition with a playful edge, their self-titled debut album has connected with fans of country, folk, bluegrass & everything in between.

Together, Jenny & Midnight Chicken will deliver a night of storytelling, string-band magic, and a little bit of mischief!
